If People Could Live As "Me" For Just An Hour......

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It is so hard to put into words what it is like to live with a mental illness. The only real way for someone to truly understand is if they have lived through it. Words aren't enough! There is no way to adequately express the pain, agony, fear, exhaustion, hopelessness, shame, humiliation, stigma, etc., that we live with every moment of every day. We live in a lonely, cold world filled with bitter, biting, ripping creatures that eat at us a bit at a time until there is nothing left but to end it all. People cannot comprehend that. The call us selfish, cowardly, thoughtless, cruel, etc., because as outsiders, they cannot begin to understand why, they cannot understand the battle that we have fought for so long before we lose the war! Some of us are lucky enough to win, to climb that "mountain" and come out on the other side as a "winner", but many of us never do. It is a day at a time, sometimes it is second by second. My thoughts are with you all.

Until next time.
